Create a Parklet from a Street
Los Angeles Communities are transforming underused areas of L.A.’s largest public asset—its 7,500 miles of city streets—into active, vibrant, and accessible public spaces with People St, a program of the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation. Three types of projects are being built: Plazas, Parklets, and Bicycle Corrals. Though the application forms are specifically LA-related, this website also includes many creative ideas and technical guides for re-designing streets into public spaces.
